Tribute
Alex Sharpe, also known as Mr. Sharpe to many people in Powell River, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, losing his courageous struggle with asbestosis. He was our dearest dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Many thanks to the Powell River community for extending so many kind gestures to Alex during the past few years.
The family is very grateful for the tremendous support provided by WorkSafe BC, the staff at Powell River General Hospital and Coastal Health Home Care Unit. A special thank you to Rebecca at the Royal Bank of Canada, who came out to the parking lot to provide service to Alex in his truck when he couldn’t make it into the branch.
