Tribute

After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his friends and family, Alfred (Fred) Agius passed away at the age of 69 years, on September 12, 2015 at Powell River General Hospital.
He was born on March 9, 1946 in Birkirkara or B'Kara Malta. He moved to Powell River in May of 1963. He is known to many by his love and passion for making his “little freddies” He loved to go fishing, hunting, and to garden. His carrots have brought many smiles to the ch…ildren of the neighbourhood.
He is survived by his sister Rose and brothers John, Edwin and Salvino, children Tracy (Willy), Shane (Aurora), grandchildren Mykle (Emma), Jonathon, Joey, Danny, Amanda (Nigel), Samantha and Cody. And his precious great grand babies Ophelia, Austin and Owen, and many other close relatives and countless friends.

There will be a Church Service at the Assumption Church on September 19, 2015 at 1pm, and a celebration of life honouring Fred on September 19 2015 from 2-5pm in the Moose Lodge upstairs.Our family would like to send our gratitude to the Palliative home care that Fred received while he was still at home as well as the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Powell River General Hospital for the wonderful care Fred received during his short stay. Their tender care and compassion for Fred during his time will never be forgotten
