Annie May Colebank

July 10, 1920 - April 9, 2021

Tribute

Sadly, we announce the passing of Annie May Colebank. Born July 10, 1920 in Enderby, BC, she began life as Annie May Zilkie, the eldest of six children. She married Monty Mandruk at Prince George, BC in 1938. In 1939 Shirley was born, then Wayne in 1943. She was widowed in Nov. 1962, when Monty was lost in a drowning accident. She later married Mervin Colebank in 1967, who passed in 1995. Shirley passed in 2019.

Annie was grandmother of five, great-grandmother of six, and great-great-grandmother of one. She was musical, and taught us to sing and play. She played the harmonica, violin, and guitar, and her singing voice was legendary. She leaves behind her son Wayne (Kathy) and family,  her sister Emily and family, and Shirley’s family, as well as her other siblings’ families, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Annie’s faith was of utmost importance to her, and she never wavered as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She loved horses, painting, drawing, writing, and her friends and family. She lived in quite a few places in her lifetime, and made friends everywhere she went.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Willingdon Creek Village for their care of our Nanny for the past two years, and to Kiwanis Village for the previous nine years.

We love you, Nanny. Your legacy will endure.
