Annunziata (Nunzia) Baiocco

Tribute
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Annunziata (Nunzia) Baiocco, age 96 years, on March 12, 2026. Her Little Nonna spirit, gentle heart and joyful laughter brought warmth and happiness to all who knew her.
Nunzia was born in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy, on February 7, 1930. In March 1967, she immigrated to Powell River with her two children to build a new life and reunite with her husband, Alfredo.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Guiseppe (Vanda) and Anita (Patrick); her grandchildren Alfredo (Sabrina), Filomena (Marco), Nancy (Kris) and Brandon and her great grandchildren Marcantonio, Adriana, Gabriella, Everett, Boden and Willa. She was their cherished Little Nonna and their hugs always brought her joy.
Reunited with her beloved husband. she is at peace, leaving a legacy of love and warmth that will remain in her family’s hearts forever.
The family is deeply grateful to the staff at the Evergreen Extended Care whose compassion, kindness and attentiveness brought her comfort and joy – she cherished them all. We especially thank Dr. Bonsor and Dr. Saini for their devoted care, Maria for bringing Holy Communion and Gauri Nasir for her comforting presence.
Her love, laughter and Little Nonna spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
