Antonietta D'Aloisio
June 13, 1932 - March 25, 2026
Tribute
It is with profound sadness and deep love we announce the passing of our beloved mother Antonietta D’Aloisio. She passed away peacefully on Mar 25, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy on June 13, 1932 to Pietro and Maria Tinaburri. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years Natale.
Mom was the heart and soul of our family and she will be missed deeply by her children James, Susan (Rob), Piera (Dino) and her grandson Matteo whom she adored. She also leaves behind her little brother Tony (Tonia) who always held a special place in mom’s heart, her sister Vincenza (Gino) and her sister-inlaw Emma (Annibale). She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, and friends whom she always enjoyed visiting with.
Mom lived a very humble life in Bagnoli del Trigno and Rome, Italy. A new life awaited her when as a young couple Mom and Dad came to Canada in 1955. She was a very brave, forceful, strong, and kind person. Mom worked hard her whole life and was devoted to her family. Her family always came first and feeding us and nourishing us with her love were always her top priority.
Although she loved her home country of Italy she was very proud of the life she and Dad had created here in Powell River. They built a home in Wildwood, Dad worked in the mill and Mom managed the home life. In 2007, after dad passed away, she moved to her ‘forever’ home that she had built. She was very proud of and loved living in her new ‘very comfortable’ home.
The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Powell River Hospital Foundation. A special thank you goes out to all the staff at Powell River Hospital who took exceptional care of her during her final weeks.

There are only a few in this world like your mother Antonietta. She was a special person, and she will always be with you. On a personal note, I recall the countless dinners she made for us at her home over the holidays during the ’70’s through to the ’90’s, and I now regret not making the time to visit her in Powell River when she was at her best and in better health.
Antonette will forever remain in our hearts and memories. She was a very special woman they don’t make any more – they shut that factory down a long time ago.
