Arthur Carl Palm

Tribute

Arthur C. Palm Passed away suddenly 29 Jan 2006 at Willingdon Creek Long Term Care.  He was born 19 Apr 1939 to Marion Hine and Paul Dwyer Munson then adopted at 8 months by Henry & Eva Palm of Sask.  They moved to Lake Cowichan when he was 11 and at 17 joined the R.C.A.F. for 5yrs.  1960 he was stationed in Holberg, B.C. where he was a Fighter Control Operator.  He truly enjoyed it there and joined in many sports and designed a logo for his B Crew.

That was also the year he met Moyra and they were married 23 Dec 1960 in Westview, celebrating 65 years last month.  He is survived by Moyra and three sons, Scott, Bradley John & Brent, 3 granddaughters Shawna of Vanc., Carlene of Chicago and Meranda. Also bro Bob and 3 half bros Allan of Ont. & Jim & Doug  Munson of Kamloops and their families, many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Marion, Paul, Henry & Eva.
He was a born volunteer and helper of others:  M.V.F.D fireman for 3 yrs and Fire Chief for 25 years in Regional District, moved to town in 1995 and joined Emergency Social Services, RCLegion in 1986, St. Johns Ambulance, Sunset Holmes Society, Sr. Citizens and Safety Committee in Mill where he worked for about 31 yrs.
He actually found a little time for fun, enjoying Crib and bridge & A&W too.
Travel was always in the mix as well.  Celebration of Life to be held in April.
