Barbara Maie Logan (nee Harper)

Tribute
Barbara passed away peacefully in the Evergreen Extended Care Unit of Powell River General Hospital. She was predeceased by her brother Jack and sister Verena. She is survived by her sister Rosalind, brother Robert, loving husband of 62 years Earl, sons Allan (Jacquie) and Douglas (Rose), six grandchildren Sandra, Nicole, Stuart, Michael, Melody and Raymond and many (and still counting) great-grandchildren.
Barbara grew up in Powell River but left for greener pastures after graduating from Brooks High School. She worked in Port Alberni for a while and after marrying Earl lived in several areas of the Lower Mainland. In partnership with her brother Robert they owned a general store and marina in Pender Harbour and ran that for several years, then sold it and returned to Powell River in 1965. She became an ardent genealogist, and was an active member of the Powell River Genealogy Group for many years.
Though her health had been failing for several years, Barbara remained cheerful and positive while coping with her daily difficulties.
