January 29, 1944 – January 9, 2019 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Barbara, 20 days before her 75th birthday. She passed away at home with family close by and her husband holding her hand. She will be greatly missed by her husband Bill, daughter Janine, son Tyler (Nicole) and six grandchildren. Barbara taught school on Texada for 35 years, retiring in 2002. Then she had time to travel. During the last 15 years she visited over 50 countries. Always curious, she wanted to know what was over the next hill or around the next corner. A special, special thanks to staff of the Texada Health Clinic, Dr. Black and nurses Roxanna, Susan and Maureen for the wonderful support and encouragement they gave Barbara and her family in her last days. In memory of Barbara, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. There will be no service by request.
