Tribute
With sorrow, we announce the death of Brenda Jean Yirka (Epp). Brenda was loved greatly by many, including her family, friends, students and colleagues.
Brenda was a talented teacher and musician, and shared her gifts not only with her family and friends, but also in choir and the classroom. Brenda was also an amazing gardener, dedicating hours to tending the beautiful garden at her home.
You were lucky if you were ever invited to an event Brenda hosted. She was a masterful baker and diligent host. Brenda always wanted to make sure everyone felt included.
Brenda received amazing care from the Powell River home care nurses during her final months and was surrounded by love from her family and friends, who were there by her side.
