It is with overwhelming sadness that Bryce and Roni Fleming announce the death of their dear daughter Calista in the early morning of Thursday, May 17 at the young age of just 20 years.
Born in the Yukon in 1991 and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Calista had finally found her true place practicing photography in Courtenay, BC. Her radiant smile, her determined work ethic and her willingness to embrace new adventures will always be missed by everyone who knew her.
A scholarship to aid the education of potential young photographers is being established in her name. An art and photography show will be held as her memorial next month in Courtenay. Details will follow.
Mortality is like a thin piece of paper with “life” on one side and “the void” on the other. We should all remember that a simple breeze can turn that paper in a moment and change everything. Love your family well.
