Carolina Porchetta

Tribute
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma “Nonnina”, Great Grandmother passed away at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster peacefully with her loving Daughter Antonietta Tinaburri and Son-in-Law Antonio Tinaburri by her side.
She was born April 15, 1925 in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy. In 1946 she married her late husband Pietro Porchetta and moved to Powell River in 1966. Carolina will be dearly missed by her beloved Daughter Antonietta, Son-in-Law Antonio, Grandchildren Peter (Daniela), Mike (Tamara), Carol (Joe); Great Grandchildren Jakob, Mitchell, Adam, David and Ava, also by her Brother in-Law, Sister-in-Law, Nieces and Nephews and extended family and friends.
Carolina was predeceased by her parents Annibale and Irene Filacchione, Sister Emelina. Carolina loved her garden but especially loved having family around her. When it was time for family to leave, she would always ask “When will I see you again?”. She is now re-united with her loving husband Pietro Porchetta.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday January 20th at 10:30 am from St. Gerard’s Church. Prayers will be said Friday January 19th at 7:00 pm also from St. Gerard’s Catholic Church. Entombment in The Garden of Rest Mausoleum in the Powell River Regional District Cemetery will follow the Mass. There will be a reception held in St. Joseph’s Hall, Church of the Assumption following the graveside service.
