Tribute

Surrounded by the love of his family, in his home, Clifford (Cliff) Gerhart left us on April 11th, 2022.  He is predeceased by his parents, Cliff and Vivian Gerhart, siblings Lil, Dodie and Lou and his first wife Mary.  He is survivied by his second wife Lena, sons Dean (Carol) and Randy (Renee); stepdaughters Roxanne (Norm), Vivian (Dave) and Nova (Mark); grandchildren Darren, Ryan (Jill), Kris and Tyler (Leah); great Grandchildren Mac, Luke and Cooper as well as many friends and kind neighbors.

Cliff began his journey July 20th, 1929 in Vancouver, BC.  The family moved to Powell River when Cliff was 5 years old and he has made his home here ever since.  He spent his career as a Papermaker and Shift Supervisor at the local Mill, volunteered as a Fireman for 25 years, raised his family and enjoyed boating, fishing, skiing, gardening, crib, entertaining and traveling with friends and family.  He thouroughly enjoyed his grandsons, spending quality time with them regularly, leaving them with the gift of endless precious memories.

After losing his first wife, he married Lena on 02-02-02 and enjoyed her companionhip, hostessing exellence and tender care for the final 20 years of his life.  Thank you to the Home Support team and his wonderful granddaughter-in-law, Jill, who provided loving support in his end of life care.  Cliff will be missed
