Tribute

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our husband and father David, in his home, on May 18, 2012 after his eight-month battle with cancer.

David was born on August 10, 1955 in Powell River, where he met his best friend and wife of 40 years, raised his children and worked first in the logging industry and then in the quarry on Texada.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Linda, children Bonnie (Garry), Julie, Denny (Karlyn), Ju Ju, sister Vicki, Dad and Cheryl.

“Papa” will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Alyssa, Breanna, Kendra, Grayden, Kaleb and Alex.

Huge hugs and thanks to the ladies from home care nursing, Chris, Marlise and Sandy. Thanks to Janet and Darcy in Oncology, Dr. Lafferty, and to all our many dear, close friends for spending time with David at home, and for the flowers and best wishes.

To my sisters Donna (Knut) and Susan (Tony), words cannot express the love and thanks I feel for your tireless help during the last few months. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, love “Sis.”

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 1 – 3 pm at the Cranberry Seniors’ Centre.

You are an angel, now gone to Heaven up above.
