Tribute
April 24, 1946 – December 21, 2018 Dexter passed away peacefully listening to his beloved Elvis music, with family by his side. He left us to join his father Holger, mother Grace and his brother Michael. He leaves behind his nephews Trevor (Tannis), Jeffry (Jenny) and their children Bryce, Tyra, Shaylin and Megan, and his sister-in-law Carole and cousins. Dexter spent his last 15 years at Bowness House. Special thanks to Sara and staff for providing a loving and welcoming home for him. Because of the kindness and respect of so many Powell River people, Dexter had lots of friends. The Powell River Kings played a huge part in his life. Dexter called himself #1 FAN. Thank you to Dr. Delport, and thank you to all the staff in the ER and ICU, where Dexter spent his last days. Your family will always miss you and we will smile when we remember “King Elvis – Dexter.” A celebration of his life will be announced later; no flowers by request.
