Dolores Elaine Powell

April 6, 1930 - May 11, 2012

Tribute

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother and friend, Dolores Elaine Powell. She was predeceased by her husband Courtney H. Powell and brother Leo Fredericks. Affectionately known to many as “Grandma Goose,” Mom acquired a large extended family she loved dearly.

She leaves behind her children: daughter Deborah, sons Courtney Jr. (Heather), Terry (Brenda), Wayne (Marlene), Cameron (Michelle) and chosen son Dennis (Jo), 12 natural and many chosen grandchildren, seven natural and many chosen great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law Bill and Conrad, and nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

As an active member of the PR Health Care Auxiliary, her sense of humour and compassion made her many friends.

Our Mom, Dolores, will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.

There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
