Doreen Elizabeth Nelson

November 16, 1933 - January 4, 2015

Tribute

On January 4, 2015 Betty Nelson crossed over the Rainbow Bridge to re-unit with with all her beloved pets and her husband of 60 years, Charlie.  Betty was born in Grand Forks, B.C. on November 16, 1933. She is survived by her sons, Gary and Doug and daughter Brenda. Predeceased by her husband Charlie. Betty spent her life in Powell River. A typical redhead she had a great sense of humor and a sharp tongue. She was a lover of animals great and small, an avid gardener and a hard worker. Her happiest place was in the garden and whenever you came looking for her she could always be found kneeling amongst the flowers. She will now be busy in heaven tending gardens and looking after animals. Missed but never forgotten. Betty being quiet and private didn't want a service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any animal charity as Betty supported them all.

Special thanks to the staff of Olive Devaud and to Pat and Joanne at Stubberfields Funeral Home who always go above and beyond the call of duty.
