Duncan James Kennedy

Tribute
Duncan was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in New Westminster, BC on May 16th, 1953, and died at home in Powell River, BC on March 26th, 2026.
Duncan had a number of jobs over the years, from siding installation to welding, but when he started working on computers at London Drugs he found his true calling. There was nothing he enjoyed more than figuring out how to build something, or fixing something broken, especially if it plugged in.
In retirement, he loved his move to Powell River, it’s views and friendly people.
Above all, Duncan enjoyed making people laugh – his wit could sneak up on you and leave you with a smile to last the day.
Duncan was predeceased by his wife Cindy, and will be missed by 5 sisters, 3 children and their families; and many, many friends.

I was so very saddened by the news of your passing. I will always remember your kindness, laughter, support and friendship with the fondest of memories. I can still hear you saying “Wheeee” as we took a corner and bombed down the road in one of your little cars with a big smile on your face. May you forever rest in peace beer in hand and listening to your favourite music. You will be missed.

Duncan, having you next door this last two years of your life will always be some of the most special years to me. You were such a special friend to me and touched my heart is a very special way. You could be totally you and I the same. You were as good a listener as a talker and your humour always made me laugh no matter my mood. You were a truly a gifted people person. Love you forever Duncan.
