Edward Emerson Burton, June 10, 1929 – October 3, 2010:
Edward was born June 10, 1929 in Kamloops, BC. While working in Powell River, he met his wife Kathryn and through his work with Crown Zellerbach, they lived in several communities throughout BC. After retirement, Ed and Kay enjoyed living on Deka Lake, spending winters with the ‘Snow Birds’ in Arizona and enjoying fishing and camping throughout BC and Alberta in the summers. In 2004, they returned to once again live and enjoy Powell River. Edward is survived by his wife Kathryn, his son Russell (Donna) McNicol, grandchildren Connie, Les, Krista Lee and Kenny, brother-in-law Wally (Marja) Benner, sister-in-law Marion Booth and many good friends from his working days and retirement. Many thanks to the staff of the fourth floor of Powell River General Hospital, very special thanks to Dr. Naude, Dr. Hoffert and oncology nurse Sheena. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Powell River SPCA.
