Tribute

On July 13, 2021, we said goodbye to our beautiful mother, Eileen Thelma Linton. She passed away at one of her favourite spots on Cranberry Lake, with her hummingbird feeders in sight.
Eileen lived her 95 years with a love of life. Always busy with family and friends, she will be sincerely missed.
Eileen was born in Vancouver in 1925. She and her six siblings lost their mother to cancer when Eileen was just 7 years old. Her father continued to raise the family and was an amazing dad to all of them.
Eileen spent seven months in a sanatorium for TB when she was just 17.
She met the boarder next door and was attracted to his wild sense of humour. She married him (John Linton) and proceeded to have four children.
Eileen loved the theatre, music and entertainment of all sorts. She was active in the Royal Purple and in later years she was an avid card player, bingo player and loved to socialize.
She leaves to miss her dearly her children, Donna Poulin (Dale), Sandra Mitchell (Rob), John Linton (Cindy), and Jeannie Speer (Peter); and 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-greats. She also leaves behind her sister, Edith; and brother, Wilf (Billie); nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
