Eleanor Margery Hargrove

Tribute
With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Eleanor
Margery Hargrove, on September 3, 2017 at the Evergreen Care Unit,
Powell River, BC. Margery passed away peacefully with family at her side.
She was 99 years old. Margery is survived by her children:
David (Rosalie) in Victoria; Mary Robinson (Howard) in Almonte, Ontario;
Arthur (Sharon Stone) in Victoria; and daughter-in-law Deborah Hargrove in
Saskatoon; as well as six grandchildren: Marguerite, Jennifer, Sarah,
Megan, Andrew and Nicholas, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Margery was predeceased by her parents, Rev. & Mrs. A.C. Pound, her
husband Alan B. Hargrove, her sister Eileen Sime, her brother Stanley
Pound, and her eldest son Herbert A. Hargrove. A Memorial Service will be
held at the Stubberfield Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1
p.m.

To the family of Margery Hardgrove… This woman was one of the kindest ladies I have ever met. I use to come to her apartment for many years and do her hair. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing but what a wonderful age she made it to. I knew a bit about each and everyone of you. She was such a gentle, kind person. She use to share her photo albums with me (so proud of her family) I moved away 10 years ago and said goodbye to all my clients, she was hard one to say goodbye to. Condolences to you all ..

You were much loved grandma. I miss our phone calls and the pictures we would exchange in the mail. I loved visiting you at your house and learning things from you – our walks along the coast, ferry rides, and making goodies in the kitchen from your bounty in the garden. Love you – give dad a hug and kiss from me!
