Embertus (Bert) Martinus Spreeuw

August 1, 1937 - October 15, 2022

Tribute

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of the love of my life, my best friend and husband of more than 60 years Embertus Martinus (Bert) Spreeuw. He is survived by myself (his wife Johanna) and his brothers Casey (Edna) and Co, son Ed (Cathie), daughter Dianna, grandchildren Jerra (Dale), Nelson, Kyle, Nikki and Megan, and great-grandchildren Halle and Ashton. He was predeceased by his parents Martinus and Johanna Spreeuw, his brothers Fein, John, Marty, Fritz and Jerry, and by his youngest daughter Annette. Bert was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada with his family in December of 1954. He loved fishing and camping and could always be found puttering in his yard. We are lost without him and he will be missed by many. He was a loving husband, father, opa, great-opa and friend. As per his wishes, we will not be holding a service.
