Tribute

Our angel on earth, Eva Shirley Bella (Jenkins) has peacefully passed away at the age of 90.

Eva was born in Kelvington, Saskatchewan. Family moved to Port Alberni, B.C where she grew up, before meeting the love of her life, Angelo Bella, in a bakery. After marriage in 1954, the young couple made Powell River B.C; their permanent home. They started a little cafe on Willingdon Ave, where they found customers loving their baking. It was then, they opened Bel-View Bakery on Marine Ave. Together, Andy and Eva supplied the town with baked goods. After raising two children, as well as foster children, Eva went back to school to finish her education as well as working part-time at Woolworths and Shoppers. From an early age, Eva found her love for God, through the Salvation Army and became a young soldier. The Salvation Army was always her second home – as a Sunday School teacher, Bible Studies, Women’s groups and numerous activities. Her faith carried her through her darkest hours and gave her peace in her final days. Eva was predeceased by her husband Angelo (Andy) and her sons Aaron and Glenn.

Eva Bella is Lovingly remembered by her daughter, Alesa Maxwell (Randy), 6 grandchildren; Brooke (Jared), Haylee (Joel), Diesel (Kassie), Dallas (Frederikke),  Ashley ( Aaron) and Sigil. Also missed by 4 great-grand children; Wolfgang, Cash, Austin and Dahlia.

Service to be held Saturday, January 31st at 12:00 pm at the Powell River Salvation Army. This will be followed by sharing and snacks; then graveside service at Cranberry Cemetery. Donations to the Salvation Army would have been Eva’s wish; in lieu of flowers.
