Tribute
It is with great sadness the family of Gary Thulin announces his passing.
Gary passed away peacefully in Powell River at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Ruby, brother Bryan and daughter Debbie. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanette, sister-in-law Ivana, children Kelly (Ivan), Rick (Paula) and Scott (Tania), grandchildren Ryan (Agnieszka), Lee, Lauren (Andre), Conor and Jayden, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Lund, BC, Gary developed a love for the water at an early age. This led to a few years of commercial fishing and a long career working on the tugs. Gary was the proud owner and operator of Thulin Towing Co. Ltd. for over 40 years. His love of the ocean and the legacy he left will live on with his family, friends and colleagues.
We are grateful for the care provided by the PRGH hospital staff on the fourth floor, ICU, ER and ambulatory.
Gary loved his family and friends deeply. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
