George Arthur Perfitt

Tribute
A kind, simple man with deep seeded values of honour and valour, the likes of which are not present today. George was devoted to his family, foregoing riches and gain, for the wealth of love and togetherness that few are blessed to experience. In Powell River’s backwoods, we are connected to the earth through his love of the outdoors. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Margery (Stephens) Perfitt, his brother William Perfitt, his brother’s wife (Peggy) Perfitt and his devoted dog Obby. He leaves behind his three daughters Ruth, Louise, Georgina, and his three stepchildren Sherry, Dan and Patti. He was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. May we all be privileged to have such a family legacy. We, the children in this family of George Perfitt, were privileged to know a truly good man. A heartfelt thank you to all his Willingdon Creek Village family who cared for him over the past four years, and his carers who lovingly advocated for him throughout his progression of dementia/Alzheimer’s.
RIP, Dad.
