Georgette (Jodi) Cormier

Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Georgette (Jodi) Wied (Cormier) in Powell River B.C. She will always be remembered by family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Lena Cormier and her sister, Shirley #1 and was devastated by the passing of her eldest son Aaron at the age of 14. She is survived by her son Tyler who also lives in B.C.
Jodi was an exceptionally brilliant student and was admitted to the University of Toronto when she was just 16 years old. Her working life involved teaching as well as working in the IT industry.
Jodi was an exceptional and loving person with many talents. She had her pilot’s licence. She was an avid reader and always joined book clubs wherever she moved as well as other social clubs. She also liked to take long walks especially where there was water and scenery as she had in Powell River and shared pictures of the early seasons out west compared to Ontario.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a single mother of two boys for some years. She was so proud of Aaron and Tyler and did not hesitate to share their accomplishments as they were growing up. She will be sorely missed by her siblings, Doreen, Shirley, Lorraine and Robert. She also leaves behind, nieces, nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.
