Gerry Norman McDowell, August 17, 1938 -December 15, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerry. He was born in Vancouver, B.C., and has lived most of his life in Powell River, B.C. Gerry was predeceased by his brother, Billy, and his son, Jerry. Gerry is survived by his loving family his wife Donna, daughter, Missy, son, Ken, and grandchildren; Carly, Natasha and Brandon, brothers, Jim and Johnny and their families. He also leaves behind the children and grandchildren of his wife, Donna; Don (Sarah) and Jeannie (Dave) and many more extended family and friends who will very much miss him. With much gratitude to the exceptional kindness and care of Dr. Schweitzer and staff at both Powell River General Hospital fourth floor and the worthy staff at Evergreen. There is no service by request. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, a memorial tribute may be made to the Hospital Foundation.

So sorry to hear about Gerry leaving us. Jack enjoyed the volunteer work with Gerry on the golf course for 15 years. It was a fun time for the boys. May he rest in peace.
