Gino Raffin
August 8, 1923 - January 20, 2012
Tribute
Gino is survived by his wife of 60 years Antonietta, sons Angelo (Doreen) Raffin and Luciano (Connie) Raffin, grandchildren Nicholas (Heather) Raffin and Cristy Raffin, great-grandchildren Olivia and Carson as well as his sister Anna (Mario) Pigatto and family.
Gino emigrated to Canada, from his native Italy, in 1966 and one of his proudest moments was when he became a Canadian citizen. Always quick with a smile and a joke, Papa Gino will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.
Special thanks to the compassionate staff on MSP who cared for Gino at the end of his life. Evening prayers will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 7 pm at the Church of the Assumption, with funeral mass on Thursday, January 26 at 10:30 am at the same location.
