Giuseppe (Joe) Prosperi - Porta

Tribute
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giuseppe (Joe).
Joe leaves to mourn his loving wife of 59 years Anastasia. He will be missed by his children Louis, Rino (Joyce), Angela (Rick) and Lori (Terry), his precious grandchildren Melissa (Roy), Danica, Jen (Keith), Jason (Adrienne), Tyler (Amber), Bryce, Kendyl and Rachyl and great-grandchildren Kylie, Siena, Samuel, Kaiden, Caleb, Maxson and Preston. He will also be missed by his brothers, sisters, extended family and friends. Joe was predeceased by his two brothers Ferruccio and Guido, his sister Teresa, grandson Joey and granddaughter Chelsea.
Joe was born in Carpineto, Romano Italy. He immigrated to Toronto in 1951 eager to start his new life in Canada. Joe ventured west a short year later and settled in Powell River where he fell in love and married Ana and was blessed with four children.
Whether Joe was working in the garden, gathering world-class chicken eggs or perfecting his art in the wine cellar, he was always thinking about the next big meal to share with all—you never left hungry. Joe’s love of family, wine and food will be fondly remembered as well as his expert vintner secrets, which he has graciously passed down to the family to be enjoyed for years to come.
Joe will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
