Tribute

On February 16, Gord passed away suddenly at Powell River General Hospital. Our family lost a loving husband and father.
Gord was born May 18, 1929, in Calgary, Alberta and moved to the Edmonton area when he was
around four years old. He had three sisters, Betty, Francis and Vivian, and brother Stan.
He later moved to Powell River where he raised his family and settled for the rest of his life. Gord loved the outdoors and spent time fishing, boating and traveling. He served many years in the Powell River mill, advancing until he retired.
Gord was predeceased by his oldest daughter Linda and sons Gordie and Doug. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Heather, whom he loved with all his heart, daughters Betty-Lou (Norm), Donna, Kathy (Tom), Jeanne (Terry), sons Ken and Keith (Judy) and many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by us all.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 5, at 2 pm upstairs at the Carlson Community Club.
