Tribute
Herbert passed away suddenly on October 22, 2016, at the age of 76. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Sharyn Gawley, his daughters Laura (John) Passek, Kim (Steve) Bartfai, Jo-Anne Gawley (Scott) and Michelle (Rob) Gawley, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
No service by request. See you this summer for a barbecue and dance to honour Herb, as he loved entertaining everyone.
Donations can be made in Herb's name to Powell River Therapeutic Riding Association or Powell River Trail Riders Club.

Dear Sharon and Family, My most sincere Love and prayers to you all. I met Herb when I first moved to the Valley 23years ago . He would always smile and chat with Hal and his cronies in those early days of clearing the forest and setting up a place to live. Long after Hal left he still would still wave to me on the road and just made me feel welcome in the Valley. God Bless You!
