With great sadness, the family of Isabel Frances Ridgway (née Wright) announces that their beloved Isabel passed away suddenly on September 14, 2010 in Powell River at the age of 91 years. She will be sadly missed by her brother Donald Knox Wright (Glenda) of Abbotsford, BC, nephews Robert, Patrick (Rachelle), Jaimie and Glenn (Ellen) Wright and nephew Christopher Harwood, niece Raje Nancy Harwood and great-nephews Ansel Harwood, Justin Wright, Jack Wright and great-niece Lauren Wright. Also survived and missed by her special cousin Dorothy Wright and other dear cousins and friends. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Cliff in 1994.
Isabel was born on October 10, 1918 in Vancouver and was married in 1949. She was a proud member of her community and had many friends in Powell River where she lived for more than 30 years. She was an avid golfer and a member of Myrtle Point Golf Club for many years. She was a very gentle and kind person and was loved by all who knew her. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at the Olive Devaud Residence for their devoted care of Isabel. There will be a private family service in Vancouver at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
