Tribute
Janet Louise Kuntsi was born in Prince Rupert, BC on May 2, 1944 and passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was predeceased by her mother, father, sister Lucy Olson and son Mark Lloyd Douglass. She leaves behind her loving family, brother Ralph Olson, daughters Tina (Ron) Van’t Schip, Kari Bond, son Darren Karpuik (Wendy), grandchildren Alisia, Amber and Kirsten Van’t Schip, Brandon and Terrin Patterson, Bryce, Darcy and Melanie Bond, Holly and Ben Karpuik, Brittany Douglass and great-grandchildren Ivy, Sebastien and Amelie Guillemette, Anica, and Jacob de Witt, Nyala Van’t Schip and Emma Van’t Schip.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Chris Morwood and the staff at the Olive Devaud Residence for taking exceptional care of Janet over the last few years of her life.
No service by request. A gathering for immediate family is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Powell River General Hospital Foundation.

Janet was the person who saved my life 30 years ago. In the middle of the night she opened her door to me and changed my life forever. I cannot express the love I feel for her. She was a great woman. I was lucky enough to visit with her often at Olive Devaud when my Mom was there. She was a constant support in my life over the years. My heart and love go out to the family of a great woman.
