Joan Marilyn Lemna

April 28, 1937 - July 8, 2014

Tribute

Joan passed away Tuesday, July 8, at the Palliative Care Centre in Evergreen Extended Care Unit in Powell River. Joan was born April 28, 1937 in Powell River, the daughter of Fred and Flora Parker. She was united in marriage to Patrick F. Lemna on September 2, 1961.

Joan is survived by her husband Pat and her sons Brad and Mark, daughters-in-law Susan and Claire, four grandchildren Carly, Echo, Jessica and Robert, great-grandchild Henry, two sisters Carol and Judy and one brother Richard.

Joan was a dedicated mother and wife who enjoyed her home and garden. Throughout her life she was active in her children’s school and extracurricular activities, selflessly giving her time and energy to supporting her children’s interests. She could often be seen in the kitchen at cub camp, in the seat at a local music concert or standing in the pouring rain at the side of a soccer field.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the entire staff at Evergreen Extended Care Unit.
