Johanna (Hanna) deWynter
April 13, 1923 - June 19, 2026
Tribute
In loving memory of Hanna deWynter born in Holland on April 13, 1923, as the 4th daughter of 5 daughters.
She met her husband Joe (Ernest) after the war in Holland and emigrated to Powell River in 1947.
She is survived by her children John, Norm (Pat), Cheryl (Bob) and Jean (Clive) and her many grand and great grand children.
She died peacefully at Evergreen retirement home on June 19, 2026, and was predeceased by her husband Joe, daughter Shirley, daughter in law Bernie and her 4 sisters in Holland.
Her many interests included several years playing the organ at Cranberry United Church, teaching sewing at home and at night school and she was a member of the Pottery Club and enjoyed making pottery into her nineties. She was regular vendor at the Farmer’s market for several years.
The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Long-Term Care for their support and caring for Hanna.
There will not be a celebration of life.
