John Richard Stapleton

March 28, 1947 - April 3, 2018

Tribute

Deep sadness does not do justice the overwhelming feelings of loss felt by the sudden passing of our father John “Rick” Stapleton. Rick lived a full 71 years and will be remember for his kind heart, generous spirit, and witty humour. He is survived by his children Alyssa and Spencer Stapleton, as well as his three brothers Rob, David and Brian Stapleton. Rick is predeceased by his parents Betty and John Stapleton who raised their family in Quesnel, BC prior to making Powell River home. Rick was a hard worker, spending most of his working life as a commercial truck driver delivering timber throughout the entire North American continent in addition to building homes in remote areas of the coast. Though dad enjoyed his solitude, he was often referred to as the life of the party. Please join us May 12th at 12:30PM at Club Bon Accueil (5110 Manson Ave) to celebrate the life of Rick Stapleton. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to the Powell River Foodbank.
