Tribute

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, uncle, grandpa and friend.

Moe was born in Big River, Saskatchewan and passed away at Powell River General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Howard and Margaret Swanson and brother, Norman Swanson. He leaves behind his wife Michele (Skinner-Mast) Swanson, his daughters Darlana (Kelly), Jennifer (Len) and Shayla, his son Shawn (Tarra) and stepsons Bryan and Steven (Shari). He also leaves his brothers Camille (Joanne), Roland (Sharon), Richard and sisters Lorraine (Gordon) and Rita (Clarence). He also leaves his grandchildren Shanelle, Telsyn, Kyana, Garner, Kristi, Lindsey, Brandon, Kiera and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, especially Kami who was like another daughter to him.

Moe succumbed after a long, hard-fought battle from an extremely unforgiving disease. He lived for the love of his family.

Thank you all for your unconditional love and support of Moe during his illness. Without the family and Moe’s commitment to fight this disease together, we would not have enjoyed all the extra years we were given.

Moe was the ultimate family man and entrepreneur. He was also the lover of hard work and fun. Moe will always remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Moe, you touched the lives of everyone you met. You will remain in our hearts forever.

We would like to thank Dr. Burns, Dr. Addison, all the wonderful home care nurses and hospital staff.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A funeral service and celebration of life were held on Monday, August 27.
