Joseph MacKenzie Harry Dwornik
Joe was born in Powell River on September 17, 1950 and passed away on September 16, 2010 at home, after his battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Pat, daughters Melissa (Lane), Stephanie (Loren) and Lauren, sisters Diane, Elspet and Margaret. Joe was predeceased by his parents at a young age but continued to be greatly loved and cared for by his extended family, Laura and Bill Foster, Laverne, Nonie, Eleanor, Marsha, Stephen and their families. His life was filled with caring for his family, fishing, running, work, travel and hobbies all of which he was very passionate about and will be remembered for. Joe was especially grateful to those who visited him during his illness and kept him in touch with the rest of the world. Thank you to Dr. Hoffert, Dr. Jubb and the nurses and support workers who cared for him and were of great comfort to him and his family. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at Kelly Creek Community Church on Saturday, September 25 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kelly Creek Community Church, John Dalziel Love Fund.
