Joyce Clifford Grantham

Tribute
Surrounded by her family in the days preceding, Joyce passed peacefully in Powell River General Hospital at the age of 84.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 61 years Jack Grantham and four sons Rick (Bev), Bob, Bill (Mar), Doug (Shannon) and daughter Kathy. A grandmother to nine, Joyce is also survived by three great-granddaughters.
Born in Timmins, Ontario, Joyce moved to Hedley, BC, in 1945. In 1951 she graduated from Vancouver General Hospital School of Nursing and then worked at the Powell River hospital; a vocation she continued to involve herself in for many years. A gentle and kind person, Joyce was always concerned for others. She enjoyed travelling, loved flowers and attending local musical performances.
A special thank you to doctors Pieter Rossouw, Sneeta Takhar and Blake Hoffert and the wonderful caring nurses in the intensive care unit.

Joyce and I had many chats across our front decks and would call to share sightings of whales or dolphins. Now, when I see them swimming by, I’ll think of Joyce.
