With great sadness we announce the passing of Grant. He is survived by many family members. His Powell River family includes Mary-Anne Lawson, two sons, two stepsons (one predeceased) and 11 grandchildren.
Grant’s Alberta family includes two sons, three daughters, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He will be missed.
A celebration of Grant’s life will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, September 24, at Mary-Anne Lawson’s residence, 7097 Hazelton Street, 604.485.8496.

Grant, you guys gave me my first job.. you helped me get more fascinated in electronics after you built a cool digital clock from scratch in the 70s. We tagged along with you as you went to the shop(Vinyl Tops of Canada and Printing on Whyte)… even went camping with your family. I remember you guys inviting me to come to Dairy Queen on a very hot summer night with your family. It has been many decades… but without a doubt, you were very cool in my eyes then… I know you had a good heart. Until we meet again.. rest in peace.

Grandpa gave me my first and second computer, taught me how they worked, shared ptograms and tips, and inspired me to be creative with them. I owe my career n advanced IT work sand cyber security to him. RIP
