Linda Darlene Kennedy
July 7, 1949 - September 10, 2016
Tribute
After a courageous and strong battle, faith allowed Linda to pass with dignity, surrounded by her family.
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, “Peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Linda enjoyed knitting, card making and many other hobbies she could put her artistic flare on. She brightened everyone’s day with her contagious smile, her openness and willingness to help.
Linda is survived by her husband Jim, son Troy (Karen), daughter Tanya (Christian), sisters Dolly (Ron) Sullivan, Debbie (Don) Carlson and Paula (Alan) Ross, grandchildren Jordan, Deagon and Jerzi as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held Saturday, October 1, at 1 pm at Alano Club of Powell River, 5903 Arbutus Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon or Canadian Diabetes
Association.
