Margaret Olive Woodhead

September 15, 1919 - April 4, 2013

Tribute

Margaret passed away at her home on Crescent Bay Road on Texada Island at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband Kirby in 1986. She is survived by nearly 60 nieces and nephews, grand and greatgrand nieces and nephews.

Margaret would often say how very lucky she was to be surrounded by so much family and friends who cared about her. She and Kirby never had children of their own but were looked up to as parents. Margaret was simply known to many as just “Aunt.” She was one of six children with four brothers and one sister all of whom passed before her. She had spent many of her 93 years on Texada and it was her home. She was active in the community for many years and spoke fondly of her younger years growing up in North Vancouver.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, at 11 am at Texada United Church. Graveside service to follow with a tea at the Legion.
