Marilyn Cristine Barnes

November 4, 1942 - February 27, 2023

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Marilyn 10 days after being diagnosed with cancer.  She is survived by her sister Linda Wallace (Bob) of Kamloops, B.C., 5 nieces and 2 nephews.  She will also be missed by her Powell River family, Kerry and Ryan Watson, Cale, Abby and Ruby.  Marilyn was a devout member of the Salvation Army Church.  She enjoyed Special Olympic Bowling and the day program at Inclusion for many years.  A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Kiwanis Garden Manor for their care and kindness during her stay with them.  Marilyn was a truly special person who touched many lives.
