Marion Russell

Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion, who died peacefully on May 2, 2026.
Marion is survived by her loving husband Chesley Russell, whom she married on April 23, 1962; her son Darren (Kim) Russell and their children Holly Russell and Owen (Shayla) Russell; and her daughter Lori (Jason) Rae and their children Mason and Gavin Rae, all of whom will forever cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Karen Russell and her granddaughter Bailey Rae. Marion carried her family close to her heart throughout her life.
Marion was devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kindness, quiet strength and unwavering care for others. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marion was a dedicated school teacher and Sunday School teacher, and she volunteered much of her time over the years with Powell River United Church and the Stroke Club.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with those who have gone before her.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Glenn, nurses, care aides and all staff at Evergreen ECU, and to friends who offered support and compassion.
