Mark Glen Vanier
August 6, 1964 - March 6, 2022
Tribute
Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Mark Glen Vanier, returned to God unexpectedly on March 6th, 2022, at the age of 57. Mark was born in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, on August 6th, 1964, to Richard Vanier (Sr.) and Gail (Vanier) Robertson.
Mark moved to Powell River from Ontario when he was very young and later to Surrey, but his fond memories of Powell River drew him back.
Mark’s caring spirit and lust for life could be felt by anyone he encountered. His door and life were always open to those who wished to enter. His love for his Harley brought out the free spirit that defined him. Mark also had a love of country music, and he would often pull out his harmonica.
When you think of Mark, celebrate the good memories you have of him. He will be missed more than any words could express and will be forever in our hearts. Till we meet again, ride in peace, Mark.
Mark is survived by mother Gail Robertson; father Richard Vanier; sister Pam Philippot; brother Rick Vanier; nieces and nephews Nicole, Brandon, Alexis, Jordan, Jennifer and Ali; great-nephews Bryson, Kaleb, Cole and Mason; aunts, uncles, cousins, and long time love Victoria.
