Martha Ida Winter
September 4, 1918 - December 8, 2010
Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Martha, at the age of 92 after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her sons Wallace (Bev) and Ronald (Linda), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harry (1998) and her oldest son Lorne (2003).
Martha was born on a farm in Spruce Grove, AB. She married Harry in 1943 and together they raised their three sons living in several cities and towns in the interior of BC. They moved to Powell River in 1967 and Martha was proud to call Powell River her home. There will be no service by request. There will be a family graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Olive Devaud Residence or a charity of your choice. The family is especially thankful to Dr. Steve Burns for his care and understanding over the years. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Olive Devaud Residence for the excellent care and dedication given to Martha during the past six years. Mom truly considered it her home.
