Tribute
Mike Galand, aka “City Mike” born in Scarborough, Ontario was predeceased by his wife Bonnie McKendrick on March 24th, 2006. He will be dearly missed by his eight brothers and sisters, their families, Bonnie’s family, his friends in Mexico, so many in the community, and his beloved “Bandit”.
He had a big heart and helped to make positive changes in the lives of a number of people in the community. He shared his passions for music, cooking, gardening, karate, camping and fishing with his many friends and family.
A service was held March 14 at Beach Gardens, Powell River. There, all spoke of how they enjoyed his humour, music, generosity, and compassion. Thank you to everyone who helped Mike along the way, especially in these past few months.

Thank you Mike for helping me get my life started , you showed me how to open doors of discovery and deal with the abuse I had suffered in my youth . We did not see each other often after the 80s but I was always pleased to see you and I can only hope that will meet again . Rick
