Tribute

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Arline Mitchell. Arline died peacefully on Thursday, November 11th, 2010. She was born November 14th, 1924 and was a life- long resident of Powell River, having spent her childhood years growing up in Wildwood where she had wonderful memories of her family and parents, James & Mary Huxter.
Arline was predeceased by her husband Marino (Babe) in 1998 and her brother Jim Huxter.
She will be forever remembered by her five children Peter, Jim (Debbie), Chris (Joanne), Marie (Bruce) Hobson, Sheila (Garry) Kerr; Gramma will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren Katie, Brian, Adam, Kara, Scott, Cameron and Robbie.

She was much loved and will be remembered fondly and cherished forever by her family and countless friends.

Arline had a tremendous zest and love of life, always enjoying the opportunity to socialize, walk, read and spend time on the phone. Her latter years were spent at the Kiwanis Manor where she enjoyed all the activities and made many wonderful friends.

Prayers will be held Friday, November 20th at 4:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Saturday November 20th, 2010 at Church of the Assumption. Reverend Bruce-John Hamilton, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the B.C. Heart Foundation.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Cam & Marie Hobson, Dr. Lynksey, the staff of the PR Hospital and Kiwanis Manor.
