Nazareno (Reno) Paul Tanti
March 28, 1931 - April 8, 2021
Tribute
After celebrating his 90th Birthday, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Reno Tanti (known as Nannu to many). Reno leaves us to join his son Jeff (2006) and many loved family and friends. He will be deeply missed & lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Jane; daughter Sylvia (Tom); grandchildren Justin, Bryan, Amanda, Crystal and great-grandson Mateo; brothers Vince and Paul (Malta); and many nieces & nephews.
After moving to Powell River from Malta in 1952, Reno made many friends while working at the mill (in the finishing room), bowling, as a long-time patron of The Inn and A&W, and a dedicated parishioner of the Assumption Church. He loved his wife, family, especially his grandchildren, and the kind people of Powell River. He always reminded us how beautiful Canada was and how lucky he was to call it home. Whether he was playing cards, shopping at the grocery store, or banking at First Credit Union, he always had a story to share and was sure to make you smile. He will be forever in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
