Neil Alexander Gustafson
August 6, 1932 - January 22, 2020
Tribute
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a
redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
– To Laugh Often and Much… (by Ralph Waldo Emerson)

From: John Hughes
Relation: Friend, workmate and fellow fisherman
Millie, my condolence to you and the family. Neil was an exceptional individual. I worked with him in the mill and fished alongside him for sockeye. In all situations I found Neil to be a hard working gentleman and a friend. Always there to give a helping hand or some knowledgeable piece of advice. He excelled in catching sockeye and helped me to become a better fisherman.
In life, I think, the measure of a man is his positive impact on those around him whether they be family, workmates or friends. Neil made that positive impact. It was a pleasure to have worked with him and to have known him.
