Dina and Frank Sirach, with regret and sorrow, announce the passing of her father Pasquale Guion on June 28, 2015.
{C}He was born March 24, 1932 in Calla, Pulfero, Udine, Italy. As he sought to make a living for his family, he worked both in France and Italy before emigrating to Canada with his family in February 1967. His first job, when they came to Powell River, was installing all the rock work at the Beach Gardens – both inside and out. He then went to work in the sawmill at the MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. mill from which he retired in 1985 due to an injury.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Matilde in 1985. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, July 2 at 1 pm from the Church of the Assumption. Prayers were said Wednesday evening at 7 pm also from Assumpton.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Covenant House, Christian Children’s Fund or the SPCA, which were charities he supported, if desired.
